Portuguese Heritage

The parade that has in recent years been a fitting culmination to the Portuguese national celebrations centered on June 10, Day of Portugal, is attracting a growing number of participants and spectators from all over Massachusetts and New England.

Held as usual in the Somerville/Cambridge area, the parade will in 2008 follow a route with some alterations relative to previous years (see above). The closing cerimony will take place at King Open School. As usual, it is advised that participants take precautions against the heat that is usually felt in this time of the year, namely by staying fully hydrated and using suitable sunlight protection.
